We are delighted to announce the 2026 parent candidates for the 2026-27 New Haven Elementary SBDM Council.
In Kentucky, each school has a School Based Decision Making (SBDM) council composed of the principal, teachers, and elected parents. The council is in charge of making many of the most important decisions about how the school operates and supports student achievement. Parents elect the two parent members (1 being a minority seat) of the council who will serve for 2 years, starting in the 2026-27 school year.
Paper ballot voting will take place on Tuesday, April 14th following the PTO General Meeting (6:00 - 7:00 pm) in the library as well as Wednesday, April 15th from 8:15am - 3:!5pm in the front office.
The candidate with the most votes will be notified the next day and announced on all communication outlets.
To vote, you MUST have a NHES student enrolled for the 2026-2027 school year! You must also show a valid ID.
